Classic Matcha Latte

A warm, creamy and cosy beverage that combines the vibrant flavors of Matcha with the smoothness of steamed milk. Perfect for a cozy morning or a relaxing evening.


Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp Kissaten's Culinary grade Matcha
  • 1/4 cup Hot water (~80°C, not boiling)
  • 3/4 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • Sweetener to taste (optional)

Recipe:

  1. Sift the matcha powder into a bowl to remove any clumps.
  2. Add hot water to the matcha powder and whisk with a bamboo whisk in a "W" motion until fully dissolved and a creamy, frothy layer forms.
  3. Heat the milk in a saucepan or froth it using a milk frother until it reaches your desired temperature.
  4. Add sweetener to the milk if desired and stir until dissolved.
  5. Pour the steamed milk into the matcha mixture and stir gently.
  6. Optionally, top with a sprinkle of matcha powder or cinnamon.
