Our Ceremonial Grade Matcha is an early-summer harvest sourced from the tea farms of Uji, Japan, carefully blended from the Okumidori and Yabukita cultivars. Shade-grown to develop its fresh, spring-green colour, this Japanese matcha is crafted as a versatile everyday grade for both traditional preparation and smooth matcha lattes.

It has a well-rounded, creamy body with balanced umami and subtle vegetal undertones, complemented by a soft, leafy aroma. A gentle bitterness appears briefly before fading away, leaving a clean, soft finish.

Preparation

Place one tea scoop (1g) of Matcha into a bowl.
Pour hot water (80°C, not boiling) gently over the Matcha.
Whisk it with Kissaten’s bamboo chasen until frothy.
Savour the Matcha straight from the bowl.
