Our Culinary Matcha is a versatile and affordable option, making it perfect for everyday consumption. It is most suitable for making everyday Matcha Lattes or other culinary dishes. It's second harvest, shade grown Culinary grade Matcha. It’s medium bodied, mainly umami with a slightly brisk flavor. It has a lovely aroma and leaves a clean balanced aftertaste.
We proudly source our Matcha from small, family owned farms in Uji, Kyoto and always import in smaller quantities to preserve its freshness, delicacy and maintain a stringent quality control.

Usucha (Thin Matcha): Use ~1 teaspoon (2g) of matcha.
Koicha (Thick Matcha): Use ~2 teaspoon (4g) of matcha.
Instructions:
- Sift the matcha powder in a bowl to remove any clumps.
- Add hot water (80°C, not boiling) to the bowl.
- Using a Bamboo chasen, whisk vigorously in a "W" motion until frothy. Electric frother can be used as well.
- Optionally, add milk (dairy or non-dairy) or sweetener.

Keep matcha in an airtight container in a cool, dark place. If you don’t plan to consume your matcha within a month of opening the pouch, store it in the refrigerator or freezer to preserve its flavour.
